Install Vista Fonts on Ubuntu

Step 1. Fire up the terminal and type sudo apt-get install cabextract

Step 2. Make a file in home folder using the folowing command:

sudo gedit /home/vista-fonts-installer.sh

Step 3. type the following script in the file but open the file using the sudo command that was used to make it because the root permissions are not available in graphical user interface:

sudo gedit /home/vista-fonts-installer.sh

and paste the following:

Now save the file. Proceed to step 4.

Step 4. make a new directory in home using the following command:

sudo mkdir /home/fonts

Step 5. Then type the following command to make the .sh filw executable

sudo chmod a+x /home/vista-fonts-installer.sh

Step 6. In the end do the following sudo:

sudo /home/vista-fonts-installer.sh
